I like this Dress!

I was strolling around last sunday at GS Citimall and I saw this dress. I'd like to buy it but there was slight damage at the back ( I think the damage is repairable ). I was thinking until now if I'm gonna buy the dress. If on Friday, the dress is still there "para sa akin yun" hehehe. What I like this dress, is that the size really fits to me (small size), the color which is pastel and it is comfortable to wear for casual occasions.

Perfect Dress for your Body Shape

Knowing your body type is the first step in choosing your perfect dress. There are 5 body types. APPLE, PEAR, RECTANGLE, HOURGLASS and ROUND.

APPLE - Apple shaped tends to describe women who have wide torsos (full bust, waist and upper back), as they store body fat around the mid section of their bodies (stomach, abdomen and chest). Such women have relatively slim thighs and upper legs. Apple shaped women often have a 'top-heavy' appearance, with a bust and midriff bigger than their hips, a prominent tummy and a flat bottom.

To assess whether you are apple shaped, again measure your hip-waist ratio; if the ratio is greater than 0.8, then you are apple shaped.

Dress Tips:

This body type is one of the more challenging ones to dress. Apple bodies should avoid
1. halter
2. heavily decorated
3. off-the shoulder
4. boat necklines as these accentuate your already broad shoulders.
5. Try to avoid puffy sleeves or big tops in combination with slim bottoms. This will exaggerate your wider shoulders as well.
6. Strapless and scoop necklines work nicely, as do soft, rounded necklines with a narrow bodice.
7. Stay away from heavily embellished bodices however. The most flattering neckline for a full bust is the V-neck or a plunging neckline as they make the body appear less round.
8. A fuller skirt will also balance your fuller bust. Choose fabrics that aren't too clingy or stiff. An empire waist can also work well by drawing attention to your midsection and away from your heavier top.

Pear - Pear shaped generally describes women who store fat below the waistline on their hips, thighs, and bottoms, as opposed to their stomachs and mid-sections. Such fat being stored on the thighs often leads to cellulite. Commonly the upper torso is relatively slim in comparison to these lower parts of the body, with shoulders and bust being narrow compared to the hips. Pear shaped women are commonly viewed as 'bottom heavy' with well defined waists.

To see whether you are pear shaped, obtain your 'hip-waist ratio' (also known as 'trunk fatness') ~ divide your waist measurement by your hip measurement; if the ratio is 0.8 or below then you are pear shaped.

Dress Tips:

To achieve a balanced look
1. go with a full or a-line skirt (a slightly flared skirt that has a silhouette resembling the letter "A") or even a ball gown. These skirts will flatter a slim waistline and make the bust stand out while disguising your fuller hips.
2. Avoid thin straps
3. boat necklines
4. stay away from pleated or gathered fabric at the waist as this will accentuate your broader hips.
5. Fitted tops such as a strapless corset-style bodice look best with this body shape especially in combination with that a-line skirt.
6. Try tops with some kind of embellishment also to add a little more volume to your bust line.
7. If you don't want to go strapless, think about a halter with a more circular neckline.
8. If you're flexible with color choice, wear light colors on top and dark colors on bottom. This will bring the eye up and away from your wider bottom.
9. You could also go with an allover print. The key here is to show off your upper body. That means your arms, back, and bust.

RECTANGLE - This body type has very little curve. Rectangle bodies have small frames and are considered athletic or slim. These are those "skinny" bodies that will many times wear petite or tall sizes. They also often times have a small chest size. The rectangle body looks straight up and down. Weight gain would deposit evenly throughout the body.

Dress Tips:

You want to add the appearance of curves since you don't have them naturally.
1. choose a dress that draws attention to your bust.
2. Go with a beaded neckline or bodice.
3. The empire style dress (a raised waistline, sometimes right below the bust) can also give the appearance of a fuller chest and add some extra definition and shape.
4. Another option to create the illusion of curves is to draw attention to your waist. To do this try a ball gown (full skirt, form-fitting bodice) as this will draw attention to your waistline and give you a curvier look.
5. A ruched or embellished waistline is also a nice choice. 6. Ornaments, belts, wraps, darts and ribbons are just a few examples for waistline embellishment.
7. Fuller sleeves are yet another way to add curves
8. dress with detailing and patterns can help to break up your straight body line.
9. Avoid sheaths and other clingy styles as this will not add any fullness to your slender shape.

HOURGLASS - This body type is the one that most women want. It is considered curvy but proportional. Hourglass bodies have well defined waists with hips and shoulders that are well balanced. Weight gain distributes evenly throughout the body with this body type as well.

Dress Tips:

This is the easiest body shape to dress. Nothing needs to be hidden or enhanced since your shape is already proportional.
1. You can pull off just about any dress you choose.
2. Two-piece dresses and corset bodices look great with this body shape as they will enhance your natural curves. The corseted bodice will work well for your bust as well.
3. Accentuating the waist is always a good idea so you may want to go with a ball gown.
4. A strapless or off-the shoulder neckline is perfect for an hourglass shape. You really do have a lot of options so feel lucky to have been blessed with such a great body shape.
5. Stay away from heavily beaded dresses however since they tend to make you appear heavier than you actually are.

ROUND - This body type has a lot of weight around the tummy and will likely have large breasts. The waist line is not well defined. Many women fall into this category due to weight gain or natural changes in the body with age. Shoulders and hips appear narrow. Weight gain would deposit around the waist with this body type.

Dress Tips:

Many round shaped women will go with a dress that covers a lot of skin. You don't have to take that route.
1. Showing a little skin can make you appear slimmer often times, not to mention sexy. The trick is to look for slimming styles.
2. Look at the waistline first. To disguise a thicker waist you'll want to raise, lower, or eliminate the waistline of your dress.
3. Choose an A-line dress that slims throughout the waist and lengthens the whole body without drawing attention to your midsection.
4. An empire style dress is also an excellent choice since it helps to conceal your waist and hips.
5. Showing your arms and neck can have a slimming effect, so go with a deep v-neck, sweetheart or scoop neckline.
6. Thick straps or a halter top style neckline will also work with this body type. Revealing the arms and neck will bring the eye up and away from your waist. 7. If you want more bottom coverage choose a ball gown with a tight-fitting corseted bodice.

Hopefully now you have a better idea of which dress is going to flatter your body type.

Dos and Don'ts: The denim edition

A quick how-to on wearing America's favorite fabric

source: Glamour under Fashion and Beauty

Dont's:

1.
Don't make a mini even mini-er by pairing with heels. (If you do opt for the short styles, pair them with flats to counterbalance the hem.) 2. Don't let your denim dress you down: Had this girl traded her ratty skirt and fuchsia leggings for a crisp pair of cropped jeans, she'd be rocking a chic stripes-and-jeans combo.
3. Don't ignore one simple rule every woman should know (and this means you!): When wearing denim that is white, avoid anything too tight.4. Don't forget that, despite popular opinion, denim does not go with everything. Example number one is this woman's confusing decision to pair a bias-cut Western skirt with a pink lace top.5. Don't cover yourself head-to-toe with shredded holes. (What's OK? One--maybe two, tops--little funky tears on your favorite pairs of jeans.)
6. Don't go for denim dresses with tie-dyed washes or loud details. Stick to a clean-cut silhouette that will always be chic.

Dos:

1. Try a fitted denim pencil skirt. It's just as sexy as a miniskirt but in a polished, uptown kind of way.
2. Find a style of jeans that works for you and stick with it--regardless of what's "in". Any pair of jeans can be easily updated with one or two trendy pieces, be it a cool army jacket or a bright bag.3. Pull off white jeans (before and after Memorial Day, thank you very much) by pairing 'em with a darker color on top. Add a colorful accessory to make your whole outfit pop.4. Try a classic A-line skirt in denim: The nipped-waist and just-below-the-knee hemline will flatter most figures, while the basic blue wash will go with just about every top you own.5. Aim for that easy, all-American look: crisp white tee and standard blue jeans.
6. Add a fitted blazer to any ol' pair of jeans for an instantly pulled-together look.

Skinny Jeans (the new denim must have)

It's all skinny. It should be skinny enough to wear or at least gutsy enough to wear skinny jeans. It is accentuate long, lean leans and deviate attention from the tush.

Ranger, Cisco Kid, Zorro and Gene Autry, Marilyn Monroe, and Sandra Dee wearing their pants very slim to the ankle. Today even financial all-stars such as Kent Sowell wear them.

Skinny jeans became most notable with country music stars and with the birth of rock 'n' roll in the '50s, when Elvis donned slim-fitting jeans and shocked the country with his gyrating dance moves. Skinny jeans and rock 'n' roll were inextricably linked to create the "bad boy" image that remains today. Skinny jeans were also worn by numerous rock bands, including the The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and others.

Drainpipe jeans (as they were then called) were also extremely popular in the punk movement of the late 1970s, worn by many bands and scene leaders such as The Clash, The Ramones, The Sex Pistols and were sold by the revolutionary shop Sex, run by Vivienne Westwood. The tight fit trousers were often customised with bondage-style zips or patches of other material, and were often worn tucked into industrial-style boots such as Dr Martens.

They are fairly popular among skaters, BMX riders and inline skaters.

Skinny jeans were also very popular in the 1980s, with most heavy metal bands in particular those in the thrash scene such as Anthrax, Megadeth, Metallica and Slayer. This was the trend for those who didn't wear spandex, which was popular with the dominant glam metal scene at the time. They were often worn with white high-top sneakers or basket-ball shoes. By the late '80s and early '90s, many hard rock bands such as Poison, Guns N' Roses and Mötley Crüe to Kiss, Bon Jovi and Slaughter, ditched the spandex and wore the form fitted jeans. However with the rise of grunge and hip-hop music in the early nineties and the post thrash movement, skinny jeans quickly went out of favour.

In the early 2000s, they became favored by garage rock revival bands and musicians, such as The Strokes. Model Kate Moss has been credited with reintroducing the jeans to women. Among women, skinny jeans are most often worn tucked into boots or scrunched up over the wearer's footwear.[1] Skinny jeans are also often paired with ballerina shoes, another trend that supermodel Kate Moss has been credited with. The Libertines (particularly Carl Barat and Pete Doherty) used skinny jeans as part of their image. This was later adopted by more mainstream indie pop and indie rock acts such as Test Icicles, Kaiser Chiefs, Kasabian, The Kooks and The Horrors, as well as comedians Russell Brand and Noel Fielding, increasing the popularity of skinny jeans amongst men. Some skateboarders prefer to wear the jeans because of their ability to stretch, thus making it easier to move around whilst skating. Skinny jeans are also now very prominent in the Bmx scene rendering greater maneuverability and less instances in which the pants are caught in the bikes moving parts.

Billionaire Homes

Warren Buffett lives in the same 6,000 sq ft, 5 bedroom stuccuo house that he purchased in 1957 for $31,500.

Richard Branson's home is really an island. 10 bedrooms, 10 baths and lots of celebrity guests.

Paul Allen has a 10,000 sq ft on Lake Washington. It also includes an NBA regulation-sized gym. I wonder if his Trailblazers put on shows there for him.

Oprah Winfrey's 23,000 sq ft home has 6 bedrooms and 14 baths. The property includes a quarter mile long driveway (would suck to get the news paper), and a man-made lake with rare fish.

Michael Dell lives in a 33,000 sq ft on the hill tops of Austin Texas. It has 8 bedrooms, 8 baths, 13 half baths, restaurant quality kitchen, indoor and outdoor pool, and a 5-level terraced lawn. The property taxes run about a quarter of a million per year (so stop complaining). It is the most expensive house ever built in Texas and looks more like an office building than anything else.

Mark Cuban's 24,000 sq ft mansion in Dallas Texas. Though, I'm not sure where he's going to land his $41 Million private jet.

Larry Ellison's 8,000 sq ft, 7 bedrooms sits on a penisular between the San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. He spent $65 million buying up 5 beach front properties to build it. It is Japanese inspired with samurai helmets and armor sculputres scattered throughout the house. Almost every room has a view of the koi pond.

Bill Gates's 66,000 sq ft compound includes a 60-ft swimming pool with an underwater music system. It has 2 "secret" bookcase doors and a 1,000 sq ft dining room. Speakers are hidden beneath the wallpaper and allows music to follow you as you walk through the house. Visitors are given a microchip upon entrance which sends signals throughout the house and a given room temperature would adjust for the user's preferences. Annual property tax is just over a million.

I was having fun at the restaurant it's because they served "chopsticks" hahaha, I don't know how to used it..I gave an extra effort to learned from It grrrrrr.. it takes a lot of time, so I requested spoon and fork. My bf gave his effort in teaching me on how to used it..wheew!!! i did it, thank's to you DEAR hehehe..

The movie ended 9.30pm and my shift starts 10pm. The worst thing was, heavy rain falls when we got to rode a jeep going to office. "Toinks" I worked with wet pants and part of my shirt as well :(

Artificial cosmetics such as concealers will only helps hide dark circles. So I don't used it as an alternative one. This is only a temporary solution of course as the treatment has to be re-applied every day.

I am looking for a Natural Remedies of it. I was paranoid in searching in the internet how to/tips of removing dark circles around the eyes. Fortunately, One of the site I found gave me some ideas and tips about natural remedies for it, and I hope it is effective. Learning is a Process

There was a time, way back on our college days with my boyfriend, it was really funny moments, when we had a long hours vacant time for our class. We decided to stay for awhile, watched dvd movies and had dinner in their house. Until he asked me to cooked "adobong manok" for our dinner. The funny thing is that my adobong manok turns to pritong manok hahhahaha..

I was challenged and decided to learned some recipes and procedures on how to cooked to his favorite foods. Until the time he left the country he still texted me and always asked me on how to cooked this kind of viand ( I knew he was only teasing me that time as if he never knew the recipes he was asking for hmmp..)and that made me challenged.

Early this morning I made a personal cooking book while waiting for the long hours of my working time. I wrote down the recipes and ingredients of my chosen Foods (Viands and Desserts).

I opened our refrigerator after I had my lunch, I saw 6 eggs and 1 can of condensed milk.. my mind think fast what these ingredients do!! HMMM.. I knew it, so I made Leche Flan.. My mom came around from her work, and brought 1 carrot and 4 sweet potatoes. I volunteer to cooked for it, for me to test if I'm good in cooking already. I don't know what's the name of the viand I made, here are the following recipes:

7 drumsticks of chicken
1 carrot (chopped in square shape)
4 sweet potatoes (chopped in square shape)
1 can pork and beans (alternative: tomato sauce)
sausage (alternative: hotdog)
garlic
onion
salt

Fortunately my family amazed.. My cooked taste good. :D

My boyfriend tasted my first cooked food for him last Sunday, we went swimming at Costa Marina. Wheew, thank God he appreciate what i cooked ---> "HUMBA, pata of baboy".. but actually, my father thought me how to cooked for it hehehehe.

Asawa Koo!!! i did it for you :p

I'm Sick (Pharyngitis)

Pharyngitis is inflammation of the back of the throat. This results in a sore throat, which is discomfort, pain, or scratchiness in the throat. Swallowing can be mildly painful as well. Sore throats, which are often caused by an infection, are very common, especially in children.

The symptoms of pharyngitis may include the following:

* Sore throat
* Pain when swallowing
* Fever
* Enlarged lymph nodes in your neck
* Runny nose and postnasal drip
* Headache
* In rare cases, difficulty breathing

Risk Factors

* Cold and flu seasons

Preventive Care
